Leon is a globally certified, results-proven performance coach who has spent more than two decades guiding cyclists to the highest levels of the sport—from junior podiums to World Championships and Olympic tracks.

He holds certifications from Canada, Australia, and South Africa, including:

  • Certified Performance Cycling Coach – Competition Development (Canada, Level 3)
  • Level 2 Coach – Cycling Australia (Road, Track, MTB)
  • Level 2 Coach – South Africa (Road, Track, MTB)

But titles don’t win races—results do. Leon’s athletes have:

  • Earned multiple medals at World and Continental Championships
  • Dominated UCI events in MTB XCO, road, and track
  • Produced national champions across South Africa and Malaysia in BMX, XCO, Time Trial, Road, and Track
  • Taken the African Leaders’ Jersey at the Cape Epic 5 times
  • Reached Top 10 UCI World Rankings in MTB Marathon (Elite Men)

Myrtle’s athletic journey spans decades, disciplines, and podiums. From elite youth competitions to international medals in her 50s, she brings unmatched experience to every athlete she coaches.

Before cycling, she dominated in offshore water ski racing, winning national titles, setting records, and earning her place as 1st Lady in the Dassen Island Ski Race—one of the longest and toughest offshore races in the world.

She also earned provincial colors in:

  • Cross Country Running
  • Offshore Water Ski Racing

After serious injury and major hip and knee surgeries, Myrtle didn’t retire—she redefined herself. She made a comeback as a track cyclist, earning:

  • 5x African Continental silver medals (Track)
  • World Championship medals in Road, Time Trial & Track
  • Current national sprint record in her age category
  • Podium finishes against elite athletes in her 50s

Today, she brings that same energy, adaptability, and mastery into every coaching relationship—helping women and masters athletes train smarter, recover better, and perform with purpose.
